Children and Family Ministry

The Children and Family Ministry is the primary planning and organizing team for everything Children and Families at Second Presbyterian. This group works to create a welcoming learning environment for the children of the church and is responsible for Church School, Vacation Bible School and opportunities for children to participate in Christian Education at our Church, as well as opportunities for parents, guardians, and the whole family. If you’re interested in serving on this ministry, please indicate your interest under “Children and Family Ministry” on your Time and Talent Covenant.

Family Dinners

Most weeks, we gather at a home on Sunday nights from 4:00-6:00 p.m. for food and fellowship. The whole family is invited! We’ll work with you to organize the event and compensate you for purchases. This is a central event in the life of our church, and we encourage you to get involved with it! If you are able to share your home or help host a dinner, please select Y09 on your Time & Talents Covenant.

Connections Sunday School Class Planning Team

This Sunday morning class meets from 9:50-10:50 a.m. The class gathers for prayer, laughter, and discussion of various topics, with a focus on how our faith shapes our day-to-day life. The topics of the series change every few weeks, often following the liturgical calendar and always addressing the journey of life and faith together.
